Cookie Policy
Last updated: 18 April 2026
A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. This policy explains which cookies AltForge uses and why.
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the Service to function. They are set without your explicit consent because the Service wouldn't work without them.
- Session cookie (
altforge_session) — keeps you logged in. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, Secure in production. Expires after 30 days or when you log out.
2. Analytics cookies
When we add website analytics (currently not deployed), these cookies will only be set after you give explicit consent via our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Analytics cookies we may set (only after consent):
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymised visitor analytics (IP anonymisation enabled). Cookie names start with
_ga. - Meta Pixel — conversion tracking for any paid advertising we run. Cookies
_fbp,fr.
If you accept only strictly-necessary cookies (or have not yet made a choice), these scripts never load and no analytics cookies are set on your device.
3. Managing your preferences
When the cookie banner is deployed, you'll be able to accept or decline analytics cookies on first visit, and change your choice any time via a link in the site footer.
You can also block cookies at the browser level via your browser's privacy settings — though this may affect how some websites, including ours, work.
4. Third-party cookies on sign-up and checkout
During payment, Stripe may set its own cookies as part of running the checkout and fraud-detection. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's cookie policy.
5. Changes to this policy
Updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced by email.
